Several years ago we commissioned John Ives to paint our Whale mural on the side of our building to help raise awareness of the plight of these magnificent creatures. Over the years we have asked you to support our activities, whether painting, attending tea parties or sponsoring our walk. This year we would love you to join us again at WhaleFest, for an international festival of wild whales and dolphins held at The Hilton Metropole Brighton on the 15-16 March.
An audience of over 10,000 people is expected, with visitors traveling from 40 countries to be inspired by the world’s biggest whale celebration of ocean films, talks, comedy, exhibitions, music and activities for all ages. Celebrities and guest speakers include Gok Wan, Steve Backshall, Miranda Krestovnikoff and Virginia McKenna at this family-friendly event that appeals to everyone with an enthusiasm for whales, dolphins and the marine environment. All proceeds support the end of Orca captivity and protection for the last 50 Maui’s dolphins, while inspiring an incredible passion for our oceans in every visitor. And if you fancy painting some lovely pottery creatures then come and find us. Half of the proceeds will go to support Whalefest!
