Under the Sea!
As you may have noticed from our giant mural, cupboard doors, and various pieces of pottery dotted around the shop, we love whales! 🐋 We’re not biased, though, we do love other sea animals too. 🐠🐙🐬 And mermaids. And pirate ships. In truth, we’re very loyal to our Brighton beach-lovin’ bones! 🌊🐚 That’s why we’ve put together a small gallery of some of our favourite ocean-themed pieces for your perusal.

Humans love patterns: they allow us to predict and expect what is coming, which our brains really appreciate. Feast your eyes on these repetitive beauties, in every array of colours! One even looks like it’s been inspired by our favourite emoji, the Greek Amphora! 🏺
Go Wild!
We started this inspiration series with our fave pets, so we thought we’d step out into the wild with this post and have a look at which animals have inspired previous painters. 🐅 🐘 🐍 Whether it’s a safari, a jungle, or a good ol’ forest, animals from any environment always look fantastic on pottery.

Love doesn’t only come in the form of romance - there are loads of different types of love. Here at the Painting Pottery Cafe, there is a very firm divide between cat and dog people. 🐱🐶🐕🐈 We’ve noticed that our customers follow this divide, too, and often want to paint lovely portraits of their pets.
