PARTY PACKAGES

Whether you’re looking to book a party for your child’s birthday, a hen party, team building, or just a big get-together, our wide range of packages will have you covered!

STUFF TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING:

  • Our packages below are suitable for any and all ages* and types of groups!

  • For packages full payment is taken at time of booking, but refunds are given up to 48 hours before the party if numbers change or you need to cancel.

  • Sessions available for 10:30am, 1pm, or 3:30pm (excl. Package 7). Want to come on a weekday evening from 6pm? We can open for a minimum spend of £250.

  • Firm minimum requirement of 6 people to get our package prices. Please check each party package to see how many people need to be booked to secure the private party space* which is down some stairs (no access for buggies/wheelchair users). If the party numbers are below these requirements or already booked you may be sat in the main shop area with other customers - just ask if you aren’t sure! :)

ADULT GROUPS:

  • ADULT PARTIES - 2 HOURS LONG

  • For grown up groups we have a BYOB policy, let us know if you would like glasses to use, and you can bring along nibbles. We don’t charge any corkage but do ask you take away your bottles and recycle them yourselves.

  • If you will need your items posted we can do so for a small extra fee. This will be to one address only.

 

KIDS PARTIES:

LIL KIDS PARTIES (UNDER 6’S) - 1 HOUR LONG

KIDS PARTIES (UNDER 11’S) - 1 ½ HOURS LONG

  • Kids parties for under 11’s are subject to availability particularly at weekends - and may only be offered at a start time of 4pm (maximum 1½ hours long). Weekdays during term time we can offer more space for kids parties - try an after-school session starting at 4pm!

  • Please contact us first if you are booking a party for kids so we can advise you on dates. Due to the nature of our building, sound travels, so if we have other bookings in at the same time we do ask you help us to keep the volume levels of the party in check as best you can, and keep the children seated.

  • For children’s parties we ask no more than 2 adults attend unless otherwise stated, as we are a small space and don’t have room for more. On especially busy days we may not be able to provide seats for the non-painters.

  • For children’s parties we can provide squash, and if you want to bring along food we will save the last 20 minutes of the session for you to do a snack spread (children cannot be eating the same time as painting).

Package 1 - Lil’ Figurine Party - £22pp

(minimum 12 painters to secure private party space, groups of 6-10 painters may be sat in same space as other customers)

Pick from a selection of fun character ornaments such as dragons, fairies, animals etc. The birthday person/sten etc will also receive a small hanging heart or star for everyone to stamp their fingers onto, which we will make into a lasting memento for you.

Package 2 - Lil’ Plate Party - £24pp

(minimum 11 painters to secure private party space, groups of 6-9 painters may be sat in same space as other customers)

Pick from a selection of side plates and trinket dishes. The birthday person/sten etc will also receive a small hanging heart or star for everyone to stamp their fingers onto, which we will make into a lasting memento for you.

Package 3 - Mug Party - £26pp

(minimum 10 painters to secure private party space, groups of 6-8 painters may be sat in same space as other customers)

Pick from a selection of mugs, perfect for your favourite cosy drink. The birthday person/sten etc will also receive a small hanging heart or star for everyone to stamp their fingers onto, which we will make into a lasting memento for you.

Package 4 - Mug, Bowl, Plate Party - £28pp

(minimum 9 painters to secure private party space, groups of 6-8 painters may be sat in same space as other customers)

Pick from a selection of our side plates, and slightly larger mugs and bowls. The birthday person/sten etc will also receive a heart plate for everyone to stamp their fingers onto, which we will make into a lasting memento for you.

Package 5 - Jugs and Vases Party - £32pp

(minimum 9 painters to secure private party space, groups of 6-8 painters may be sat in same space as other customers)

Includes the same selection as package 4, with the inclusion of small jugs and/or vases. The birthday person/sten etc will also receive a heart plate for everyone to stamp their fingers onto, which we will make into a lasting memento for you.

Package 6 - Themed Party - £30 per person

(minimum 9 painters to secure private party space, groups of 6-8 painters may be sat in same space as other customers)

A selection of themed character ornaments as well as functional items, and themed images provided for tracing. The birthday person/sten etc will also receive a moneybox for everyone to stamp their fingers onto, which we will make into a lasting memento for you. This package requires a months minimum notice so we can make sure we have the appropriate stock to fit your theme. Themes include things such as: - fairies and unicorns, dragons and dinos, birds, pets, transport, cottagecore, under-the-sea, spooky etc. Get in touch if you have ideas of another theme and we can see if we can accommodate.

Package 7 - Painting and Throwing Party - £40pp - 10 YRS+ ONLY (maximum 15 people for this package)

*if more than 10 people this session will be 3 hours long, please contact us before booking this package as we will have to make a custom booking for you. On weekends we are only able to offer this at 3:30pm and it depends on staff availability.

Have a spin on the potters wheel and throw a small bowl that will be clear glazed shiny white. You’ll also have a chance to paint a pot or beaker from our selection, so each person in this package will leave the session with 2 pieces of pottery. The birthday person/sten etc will also receive a small hanging heart for everyone to stamp their fingers onto, which we will make into a lasting memento for you.

Collecting your pottery

Your pottery will be ready 8-10 days after your painting session (excluding Package 7 which will be 3 weeks due to the throwing portion). We ask all items are collected together. If you are not local we can post items out to one address, which is usually between £2.50-£3.50 per person extra.

You’ll find us in the heart of Brighton’s North Laines. We are just a 10 minute walk from the train station, or 15 minutes from the pier. You can’t miss our pink and green exterior, but in case you do here’s a map.

What to expect: 

When you arrive your studio assistant will guide you through the process of creating your masterpiece. They will fill you full of inspiration, with bundles of tips and tricks on design and colour. We will be close by to answer any questions whilst you catch up, unwind and create. And we do all the clearing up at the end!

We reserve the right to decline your booking if you haven’t read through the above information and made sure your booking applies any requirements, but of course we’ll contact you to help you get the correct thing booked :) Until we have ‘accepted’ your booking, it is not confirmed. Please email us before booking a kids party for a weekend so we can confirm available slots.

Glazing and firing your painted pottery.

We try our best to ensure that the creative journey you take with us is fun and enjoyable. The final part of the journey involves the glazing and firing of your pottery. Sadly this is not an exact science and the kiln is sometimes unpredictable. While we strive for perfection it doesn’t happen all the time, particularly as these are hand-produced crafts. Glaze spotting can occur as well as things like brick dust on the items. Please be aware that although we try to control for these events it is not always possible to prevent. It can be the charm but also the frustration of working with ceramics. Sometimes, if we feel it is safe to do so, we will re-fire your pottery to try to fix glazing issues. In the unlikely event of your pottery breaking or cracking in the kiln we will of course offer compensation by way of a replacement voucher.

Please be aware that sometimes clay fired items can break or very occasionally even explode in the kiln. We try to control for these events but it is not always possible. It is the charm but also the frustration of working with ceramics.
