It’s Summer, it’s sunny (mostly), the evenings are long, and we are ready to play (responsibly) in the sun! We’ve rounded up a few events we’re particularly excited for this coming month.
Shakespeare’s Globe on Tour
Brighton Open Air Theatre (BOAT) always puts on a great variety of shows. This year, they’re hosts again to the wonderful touring Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre performers. On the night, the audience will choose whether they wish to see A Comedy of Errors, Pericles, or Twelfth Night. Seeing Shakespeare performed outside is something we really recommend!
Paddle Round the Pier
Now on its thirteenth year, Paddle Round the Pier is a fantastic free festival. It’s packed with events including dressed up paddlers on homemade rafts, dogs on paddle boards, and the Big Paddle where over 250 people paddle at once! On land, they set up stalls with all sorts of food and drinks, live bands, and plenty of events - you can even give snorkelling a go! Pop to Hove Lawns on 6-7th July to see it all in action.
On the 14th July, take to Hove Lawns again to support Disability Pride! Led by a community based group, this event has the aim of being all inclusive whilst celebrating the diversity and value of all disabled people living well with visible and non-visible disabilities. With loads of artistic performances and fantastic speakers on the line up, as well as a super fun parade, this promises to be a great event for everyone!
Tipping Point: What Happens to our Waste?
As a business, and as individuals, we are always looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprints. This evening event on the 18th July promises to be really informative on matters of recycling and waste, and we cannot wait to get a better understanding about what recycling really means for many products and materials! Combine that with one of our favourite pubs, The Walrus, and you won’t be able to keep us away!
