Workshops
Something art and crafty..
In addition to our normal activity of painting onto ceramics we also run a host of art and craft workshops for children and adults. All our workshops are with experienced artists.
Pottery Throwing
The taster sessions are the most popular throwing workshops. You can come and just ‘have a go’. Our Studio Assistants makes it seem very easy – everyone ends up with a pot or bowl that they can then come and decorate at another time. Whether you are alone, celebrating or team building with colleagues – we all want to capture that Demi Moore & Patrick Swayze “Ghost” moment!
Taster sessions are £18 for children and £20 for adults. It is spread over 2 sessions. You will throw your very own pot in under an hour! You can then return another day when your pot is fired and decorate it. All materials are included in the price.
Hazel Stephenson has joined Sarah Vosmer and Alice Wilmott to make up our team of potters. Hazel will be offering Wednesdays from 5.30 – 8pm. Taster sessions will also be available on Monday, Friday and weekends. Group bookings for Schools, Team Building, Hen Parties and Birthdays are available at other times.
Just call the shop or email for more information and to book.

What is the course about?
This course will enable you to explore a diverse range of basic hand and machine sewing techniques whilst getting to know your machine.
How will I be taught?
An experimental approach will be taken. There will be demonstrations, examples, handouts, individual tuition, discussion and practical work. Work can be continued outside of the lesson.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

By the end of this course you will be able to:

What is this course about?
An artistic interpretation of the imagination is to let go and allow the mind to flow, without preconceived notion of representation. A range of basic machine and hand sewing techniques will be used adding beads, button and hand embroidery to embellish.
How will I be taught?
Through demonstrations, examples, handouts, individual tuition, group discussion and practical work. Work can be continued outside of the lesson.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
