Victoria Canton
Victoria’s work is influenced by her personal experience of synesthesia. Her world is one of a ‘colour/shape to sound’ sensation. When she observes a colour or a shape she hears a tonal sound.
She describes how her experience of producing art is a like creating an orchestral composition. The over-riding theme is one of change and its irreversible progress.
Her source material is diverse. It could be an atomic explosion or a field of flowers. However the theme is always the same – change.
See Victoria Cantons’ work at The Painting Pottery Café Brighton until the end of July. Please email if you would like to join us for her Preview.

NEW PAINTINGS – APRIL EXHIBITION
Come and see Jemma Johnson’s new work. Jemma has recently returned from living and working as an artist in Barcelona. This has inspired the development of her technique of layering and texturing her work. These ‘hidden’ layers in her paintings suggest the complex structures of the human spirit.
