Now that summer time is here - although the weather hasn't quite caught up - we are welcoming pottery painters from around the world. This time our guests were from St.Giles International Language School. Every year they have lovely families visiting Brighton. Fortunately for us pottery painting is one of their favourite activities!
The lengths we go to ........or we get other people to go to! This is Alice in the throws of replacing elements in the kiln to ensure even firing. This results in a better finish of both colour and shine. Well we hope so! Monday should reveal all.

We feel like the cat that got the cream with so many creative events going on around town in May! Sink your claws into our cat-tastic Artists Open Houses exhibition by Martin Knight.
The show runs 11am - 5pm daily, throughout May downstairs at Gallery 31 and features work inspired by the many missing cat posters around Brighton and Hove.
You can pick up a AOH programme in the shop 
and you can find us on the Central Trail.
Easter marks the start of a 2 week break in Brighton. The good news is we will be open every day. So come and join us for some creative fun. We are taking bookings for painting on ceramics as well as our popular taster throwing sessions. Chocolate treats for the girls and boys!
We have our late night opening for painting on the 7th April. Leave the kids behind - bring a bottle and lets have a paint party!
We want to make sure the most important women in our lives get something really special from you this year, so we have a few special treats in store for Mum's this Mother's Day.

For £35 per person you will make two thrown cups, two hand built cups and you'll return to paint them as well.

As you can see we have been practicing our throwing techniques again. The Great Pottery Throw Down was a real inspiration for us and we are looking forward to helping lots of budding potters in the New Year.
We will be having our Clay Play every Thursday evening and taster throwing sessions on Wednesday & Friday afternoons and Saturday & Sunday mornings. For groups of 4 or more we can arrange other times.
We will be having a special taster throwing Sunday - all day on the 24th January.
Today is the last day for painting and collection. We re-open on Sunday 27th and will be open every day except the 1st January.

We're hosting our annual Make Your Own Christmas Decorations workshop during October half term.
This is a special workshop for Children, but we are running an adults session on 8th November, 11am - 2pm.
Handmade decorations are the perfect accessory to a family Christmas.
