Brighton Fringe is such an thrilling event for us to be a part of. We love the extra energy everyone has, and there’s not a corner of the city that doesn’t have something exciting around it.
There’s so much to choose from, it can sometimes be a bit overwhelming to narrow down. Here’s a round up of things we’re particularly looking forward to!
Film and Photography
Lee Miller's War: Witnessing Women A presentation of WWII images taken by Lee Miller, the only female combat photographer in Europe during the war. She photographed, spoke to, and wrote about a huge variety of women in the war.
We’re really excited for the Iris Prize LGBT+ Film Festival to be in town, showcasing some great eye-opening pieces exploring and celebrating LGBT+ lives.
Our Alex went to see My Greatest Period Ever and said it was really fun and funny, and super duper informative! Anything that spreads the word about natural bodily functions sounds good to us.
Workshops and Events
Of course, we’ve saved the best Fringe event till last (not that we’re biased). Come and Learn to Throw a Pot here at The Painting Pottery Cafe, for just £12.50! Not only will you have a great time throwing with the help of our studio assistants, you’ll meet likeminded people and you get to keep the pot, which we’ll glaze for you so it’s food safe and water tight - perfect for a tapas bowl or cactus planter!
